The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Vehicle may exhibit no movement and/or transmission oil leak from right inner tripot.

This may be caused from improperly installed driveshaft, not fully seated in final drive. Production correction implemented November 11, 2005.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Inspect the driveshaft for damage, if damaged repair as necessary, if no damage noted re-install driveshaft.

If the driveshaft was disengaged and not fully seated, remove and inspect the splined end of the driveshaft. If not damaged, inspect the seal, if not damaged, re-install the driveshaft. Verify that the wheel drive shaft is properly engaged to the transaxle by grasping the inner tripot housing and pulling outward. Do not pull on the wheel drive shaft bar. The wheel drive shaft will remain firmly in place when properly engaged.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
