The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
A customer or technician may complain the AOL Airbag on Lamp is stuck or has fallen into the IP and the retaining tabs are broken.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is an indicator lamp only it is not a switch. It is triggered by the position sensor in the passenger seat. If a customer or technician pushes on the indicator the retaining clips can be broken, causing the lamp to fall into the IP. Please advise that this is Airbag ON Light only.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
