This PI has been revised to the 2007 Model year. Please discard PIT3409A.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Unable to locate blunt cut wiring harness for RPO V92 trailer package as listed in SI Document ID # 1516988.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Connector C409 (Black 6 way) is located next to the rear heater pipes for the rear heater assembly just in front of the G67 air pump. There is a harness supplied in the glove box that plugs into this connector and has the blunt cut ends that would be used to wire up the trailer. Remove the dummy plug from C409 and install supplied harness. Vehicles not equipped with the V92 option will not have connector C409 or the additional harness.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
