The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Some customers may report an intermittent SVS (Service Vehicle Soon) light illuminated. A routine check with the Tech 2® may find a current and/or history DTC B1390 (Device Voltage Reference Input) present. SI Document 1865553 may or may not lead the Technician to a repair. Recently, BCM software was added to TIS2WEB to increase parameters for setting the trouble code and reduce the occurrence of the B1390.
If published service information does not lead to a repair, update BCM with the latest calibration using TIS2WEB.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
