Preliminary Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement for the 2.4L engine.
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement for the 2.4L engine.

Radiator Outlet Hose Assembly

Tip

    • Using SA9111E position radiator outlet hose clamps aside and remove hose from the fittings.
    • Remove radiator outlet hose push in retainer from the engine bracket and cradle.
    • Note routing of the radiator outlet hose to ensure proper insulation.
