Preliminary Procedures

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement for the 2.0L engine or Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement for the 2.4L engine .
3. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement for the 2.0L engine or Drive Belt Replacement for the 2.4L engine .
