Preliminary Procedures

Remove the roof lift off panel window rear weatherstrip. Refer to Roof Lift Off Panel/Window Rear Weatherstrip Replacement.

Roof Lift Off Panel Weatherstrip Retainer Fastener (Qty :2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Preliminary Procedures

Remove only the side of the weatherstrip being repaired, Do Not remove the weatherstrip completely.

Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 2 N·m (89 lb in).

Roof Lift Off Panel Weatherstrip Retainer

Procedure

1. Clean the inside of the retainer and surface with a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water by volume on a dampened lint free cloth.
2. Peel the protective film from the foam tape on the back sides of the new retainer.
3. The weatherstrip retainer can be moved inward or outward to adjust for window to weatherstrip seal.
4. Insert the weatherstrip into the retainer starting in the center and working outwards and down the sides.
