Removal Procedure
- Open the lift gate and support.
- Using a small screwdriver, carefully pry the spring clip back from the end of the strut.
- Remove the strut end from the strut anchor.
- Repeat the procedure for the other end and remove the strut.
Important: The lift gate must be supported when removing 1 or both hinges and/or struts. Remove 1 hinge at a time.
Important: The spring clip should not be removed.
Installation Procedure
- Align the strut end with the strut anchor and push on to attach.
- Remove the support and close the lift gate, inspecting for proper operation of the strut.
