Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 869617  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner housing cover and the air induction hose at the throttle body.

  2. Object Number: 865817  Size: SH
  3. Remove the powertrain control module (PCM) bolts.
  4. Disconnect the PCM I/P harness electrical connector.
  5. Lift the PCM from the carrier and set aside.

  6. Object Number: 866340  Size: SH

    Important: Clean all exterior surfaces with brake cleaner.

  7. Disconnect the control module electrical connector by pulling on the lock tab.

  8. Object Number: 866344  Size: SH
  9. Remove the control module screws.
  10. Pull the control module straight off of the valve assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 866340  Size: SH
  1. Align coils on the electronic brake and traction control module with valve cores on the brake pressure modulator valve assembly and push together.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install and tighten the screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the control module-to-valve assembly screws to 4-6 N·m (35-53 lb in).

  5. Connect the electrical connector and push in the tab to lock.

  7. Install the PCM to the carrier.
  8. Connect the PCM I/P harness electrical connector.
  9. Install and tighten the PCM attachment bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the PCM attachment bolts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  11. Install the air cleaner housing cover and the air induction hose.
