The lever on the right side of the steering column operates the windshield wipers. Move the wiper lever to the position you want:
(High Speed): The wipers will run continuously at high speed.Heavy snow or ice can overload your wipers. Clear away snow or ice to prevent an overload. If your windshield wipers are stalled for a few seconds in low speed, an electronic circuit breaker will stop the wiper motor until it cools to protect it from damage. To reset the circuit breaker, move the wiper control switch back to "OFF" and then move to the desired position.
If your windshield wipers are stalled for a few seconds in high speed, the wiper fuse may open. Refer to the section on instrument panel fuse block for fuse replacement information.
In light rain or snow, you might want to use the Intermittent Time Delay (INT) position rather than continuous wiping. Turn the band to choose the delay time. Setting:
• | 1 for a Long Time Delay, |
• | 2 for a Medium Time Delay, or |
• | 3 for a Short Time Delay. |
Pull the windshield wiper/washer lever toward you to spray washer fluid on the windshield. The spray will continue until you release the lever. If the wipers are "OFF," the wipers will make three complete wipes and then stop.
