The dome lamp has a three position switch. The positions are as follows:

1. The "OFF" position switches the dome lamp off. It will not come on with the doors open or closed.
2. The "ON" position switches the dome lamp on. It will remain on with the doors open or closed.
3. The "DOOR" position switches the dome lamp on when any door is opened or when the Saturn Security System (if equipped or optional) is activated and off when the doors are closed.

The delayed dome lamp is available on vehicles with the Saturn Security System. In the "DOOR" position, the dome lamp will be controlled by the doors and the Saturn Security System (see Saturn Security System Operation ). The dome lamp will come on when any of the doors are opened. When you enter or exit your vehicle through the driver's door, the dome lamp will stay on for a short period of time. The dome lamp will go off after the door is closed as long as the ignition is off.
