State inspection stations will generally allow a vertical reading of plus 0.76 degrees or minus 0.76 degrees as indicated by the horizontal aim decal. To re-zero the aim, turn the horizontal adjusting screw with an E8 Torx™ socket or T15 Torx™ screwdriver until the arrow points at the zero (center) indicator line.
