Important: Before removing the spark plugs, ensure water and other debris in the spark plug wells are blown out.
Important: Do not use a flexible extension socket to remove the spark plugs. Damage could occur to the spark plug insulator.
Important: Use only a spark plug socket that has a rubber insert to hold the spark plug in place. The spark plug porcelain may crack if a deep well socket without a rubber insert is used.
Important: Make sure the gasket is on the spark plug.

Important: Always coat the spark plug threads with anti-seize compound before installation.
Tighten
Tighten the spark plug-to-head to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
Important: If the boot is torn or ripped, a new wire must be installed. Do not repair leads from which the terminals have been pulled off. Replace the wire.
Important: Install the spark plug wires on the correct spark plugs as indicated on each spark plug wire. ensure the routing of the wire on the engine is away from moving parts and exhaust.
Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal bolts to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
