Vacuum Harness Replacement SOHC

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 865424  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air intake tube and fresh air hose.

  2. Object Number: 873537  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the vacuum harness from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid and secondary air system combination valve, if equipped.
  4. Remove the vacuum harness from the throttle body by unclipping the 2 tangs and lifting it upward.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 873542  Size: SH
  1. Install the throttle body vacuum harness connector.
  2. Connect the vacuum harness to the EVAP canister purge solenoid and secondary air system combination valve, if equipped.
  3. Important:  See the diagram to ensure the proper routing and connection of vacuum lines.

  4. Install the air intake tube and fresh air hose.
  5. Start the engine and check for vacuum leaks.

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 872079  Size: SH
  1. Remove the air intake tube and air box cover.
  2. Remove the accelerator control cable bracket attaching bolts.

  3. Object Number: 874187  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the vacuum harness from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid.
  5. Important: Inspect the vacuum harness connectors for deterioration. Replace the vacuum harness if damaged.

  6. Remove the vacuum harness from the throttle body by unclipping the 2 tangs and lifting it upward.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 872410  Size: SH
  1. Install the throttle body vacuum harness connector.
  2. Connect the vacuum harness to the EVAP canister purge solenoid.
  3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

    Important: See the diagram to ensure the proper routing and connection of vacuum lines.

  4. Install the accelerator control cable bracket attaching screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the accelerator control cable bracket-to-intake manifold screws to (LL0) 13 N·m (9.5 lb ft).

  6. Install the air intake tube and air box cover.
  7. Start the engine and check for vacuum leaks.
