Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 864594 Size: SH
  1. Place a prop under the rear compartment lid that will safely support the lid.
  2. Remove the rear compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Torque Rod Replacement .
  3. Remove the hinge bolts.

    4. Object Number: 869095 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear window trim finish panel. Refer to Upper Rear Trim Finish Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    5. Object Number: 864960 Size: SH
  5. Remove the hinge to body nuts.
  6. Remove the hinge.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 863027 Size: SH
  1. Install the hinge and fasten to the body with the nuts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment hinge to body nuts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  2. Slide the hinge arm into the rear compartment lid
  3. Install the rear compartment to the hinge bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear compartment lid to hinge bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the rear compartment lid torque rods. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Hinge Torque Rod Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 864594 Size: SH
  5. Install the compartment lid.
  6. Align the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment .

    7. Object Number: 869095 Size: SH
  7. Install the rear window trim finish panel. Refer to Upper Rear Trim Finish Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
