Important:
- Use the appropriate safety equipment such as:
- Keep work area and tools clean.
- Clean the transaxle exterior before removing the parts.
- Do not use wipe cloths or rags.
- Do not use solvent on:
- Blow out all the passages with compressed air.
- Clean out the small passages with fine wire.
- Handle parts carefully to prevent damage.
- Lubricate all the internal pars with the transaxle fluid during assembly.
- When installing the screws, bolts or studs into the aluminum, always dip
the threads in the transaxle fluid.
- Always use the torque wrench for proper torque.
- Recondition damaged or stripped aluminum threads with the thread insert.
- Replace all the gaskets and O-ring seals. Do not use the gasket cement
or sealers except where specified in the procedure.
- Do not clean the aluminum transaxle components in any type of caustic
solvents.
- Always inspect all the seals, gaskets, O-rings and mating surfaces for:
