Important: 

  1. Use the appropriate safety equipment such as:
  2.    • Safety glasses
       • Safety shoes
       • Gloves
  3. Keep work area and tools clean.
  4. Clean the transaxle exterior before removing the parts.
  5. Do not use wipe cloths or rags.
  6. Do not use solvent on:
  7.    • Rubber seals
       • Sensors
       • Seal rings
       • Blocker Rings
       • Clutch Release Bearing
  8. Blow out all the passages with compressed air.
  9. Clean out the small passages with fine wire.
  10. Handle parts carefully to prevent damage.
  11. Lubricate all the internal pars with the transaxle fluid during assembly.
  12. When installing the screws, bolts or studs into the aluminum, always dip the threads in the transaxle fluid.
  13. Always use the torque wrench for proper torque.
  14. Recondition damaged or stripped aluminum threads with the thread insert.
  15. Replace all the gaskets and O-ring seals. Do not use the gasket cement or sealers except where specified in the procedure.
  16. Do not clean the aluminum transaxle components in any type of caustic solvents.
  17. Always inspect all the seals, gaskets, O-rings and mating surfaces for:
  18.    • Nicks
       • Cuts
       • Damage
