Creak in the Rear Window Area

Condition:
A creaking noise may be heard coming from the rear window area.
Cause:
Loose rear window lower frame supports move against the rear window causing a creak noise.
Correction:
Remove the adjustable slider and legs from the rear window lower frame supports using the procedure in this bulletin.
Procedures:
- From inside the rear compartment, hook a 90 degree awl or pick in front of one leg of the rear window lower frame support and gently pull rearward until the leg breaks off.
- Repeat until the 2 legs on both rear window lower frame supports are removed.
- Insert a small diameter pick between the adjustable slider and the base of the rear window lower frame support to disengage the interlocking feature of the slider.
- Remove the slider from the rear window lower frame support.
Notice: Do Not remove the base of the rear window lower frame supports since they are sealed with a gasket and removal may cause a waterleak.
Important: Remove only one leg at a time from the rear window lower frame supports.
