Removal Procedure
- Remove the sunroof glass assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- Remove the map lamp and sunroof switch console.
- Disconnect the wire connectors.
- Disconnect the wiring along the right side of the sunroof module to the center pillar location.
- Disconnect the sunroof actuator motor harness.
- Disconnect the 4 sunroof drain hoses from the sunroof module.
- Remove the fasteners from the sunroof module and remove the sunroof module.
Installation Procedure
- Install the sunroof module, leaving the fasteners loose.
- Connect the sunroof actuator motor wiring and connect the wiring along the right side of the sunroof module.
- Connect the map lamp and sunroof switch wiring and install the console with the 2 screws.
- Install the sunroof glass assembly. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
- Align the sunroof module by cycling the glass open and closed. In the closed position, the glass will center the module.
- With the glass fully open, tighten the sunroof module fasteners.
- Connect the 4 sunroof drain hoses to the sunroof module, ensuring that the hoses are not kinked.
- Adjust the sunroof glass to 1 mm (0.04 in) below the roof surface at the front and 1 mm (0.04 in) above the roof surface at the rear by loosening the sunroof glass attaching screws and moving the sunroof glass.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the sunroof module-to-roof panel fasteners to 12 N·m (8 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the sunroof glass-to-sunroof bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
