Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement L81

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove exhaust heat shield bolts to manifold.
3. Remove exhaust heat shield nuts to manifold.
4. Remove the exhaust heat shield.

1. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

3. Lower the vehicle.

Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield Replacement 2.2L (L61)

1. Remove exhaust heat shield bolts.
2. Remove exhaust heat shield.

1. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

2. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
