Tools Required

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .



2. L61 vehicles only, Install theSA9105E andJ 43405 .
3. L81 vehicles only, Support the powertrain using the floor jack with 2 in x 6 in wood block placed under the oil pan.



4. Remove the mount to mount bracket bolts.



5. Remove the mount to frame rail nuts.
6. Remove the mount.

Important: On the V6 vehicles install 1 spacer onto each frame rail stud.

1. Install the mount onto the frame rail studs.
2. Install the mount to frame rail nuts and tighten.

Tighten
Tighten the mount-to-frame rail nuts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).




3. Hand start all the mount-to-bracket-bolts. Reposition the powertrain as required to allow all the bolts to hand start.
4. Beginning with the center bolt tighten the mount-to-bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the mount-to-bracket-bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

5. Remove the SA9105E and the J 43405 , or floor jack.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
7. Start the engine and observe the idle shake. Compare to the pre-removal condition, if excessive perform powertrain balance procedure Operation No.1. Refer to Engine and Transmission Mount Balancing - All Mounts .
