Dirt or debris will cause premature wear of a rebuilt engine. Clean all
components.
•
Use the proper tools to measure the components when checking for excessive
wear. Components that are not within the manufacturer's specifications must be replaced
or repaired.
•
When components are reinstalled into an engine, return the components
to their original position, location, and direction.
•
During assembly, lubricate all moving parts with clean engine oil or engine
assembly lubricant, unless otherwise specified. This will provide the initial lubrication
when the engine is first started.
