J 45185 Bore Gage Set

Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the rear internal gear bushing.

1. Using the J 45185 , measure the inner diameter of the rear internal gear bushing (542).
2. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications .




Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the front sun gear bushing.

3. Using the J 45185 , measure the inner diameter of the front sun gear bushing (544).
4. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Front Sun Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications .




Important: Measure at different locations and average the measurement. If the average measurement is not within specifications, replace the rear sun gear bushing.

5. Using the J 45185 , measure the inner diameter of the rear sun gear bushing (539).
6. Use a micrometer to measure J 45185 reading. Refer to Front Carrier, Rear Sun Gear Bushing, ID in Transmission Clearance Specifications .



7. Install the front sun gear (544) into the front carrier assembly (542).



8. Install the front sun gear retaining ring (541) into the groove of the front sun gear (544).
