Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2002 🢒 VUE - AWD 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Front End 🢒 Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 930872 Size: SH
  3. Remove the release cable from the structure. Note the routing of the hood cable in the engine compartment for installation.

    4. Object Number: 965599 Size: SH
  4. Inside the vehicle, remove the left front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Push carpet aside to expose release handle.

    6. Object Number: 930888 Size: SH
  6. Pull release handle to up position.
  7. Pry back front of handle slip to disengage from the hinge pillar.
  8. Remove the hood hinge cable grommet from the front of the dash and remove the cable from the core support.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 930888 Size: SH
  1. Install the hood hinge cable and grommet through the front of the dash.
  2. Slide the hood release handle into the hinge pillar and secure into place.

    3. Object Number: 965599 Size: SH
  3. Move carpet back into position and install the front carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 930872 Size: SH
  4. Route the hood cable through the body structure.
  5. Install the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
  6. Inspect the hood latch cable for proper operation.
  7. Close the hood.
