This feature shuts off all lamps that are left on for more than 20 minutes when the ignition is off. This will help keep your battery from running down if the interior lamps are left on.
This switch controls the brightness of the instrument panel lighting. When the thumbwheel is turned to the left, the lights will dim. When the thumbwheel is turned to the right, the lights will become brighter.
The dome lamp had a three position switch. The positions are as follows:
OFF: The OFF position switches the dome lamp off. It will not come on with the doors open or closed.The delayed dome lamp is available on vehicles with the Saturn Security System. In the DOOR position, the dome lamp will be controlled by the doors and the Saturn Security System (see Saturn Security System Operation ). The dome lamp will come on when any of the doors are opened. When you enter or exit your vehicle through the driver's door, the dome lamp will stay on for a short period of time. The dome lamp will go off after the door is closed as long as the ignition is off.
The right and left map lamps are located between the sun visors. Push the map lamp less to turn the lamp on or off.
The rear cargo lamp is located over the rear compartment. The rear cargo lamp is controlled by the switch on the dome lamp.
In the 'DOOR" position, the dome lamp and rear cargo lamp will be controlled by the doors and the Saturn Security System. The rear cargo lamp will come on when any of the doors are opened. When you enter or exit your vehicle through the driver's door, the rear enter or exit your vehicle through the driver's door, the rear cargo lamp will stay on for a short period of time. The rear cargo lamp will go off after the door is closed as long as the ignition is off.
The liftgate lamps, when are located on the bottom left and right corner of the liftgate, will go when the liftgate is opened. The liftgate lamps can also be controlled by the dome lamp switch.
