For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the center high mount stoplamp (CHMSL) fasteners.
- Pull the CHMSL out of the liftgate.
- Disconnect the rear washer hose from the rear washer nozzle.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the CHMSL assembly.
- Press the tabs on the CHMSL lens to separate the CHMSL bulb from the CHMSL lens.
- Pull the CHMSL bulb out of the assembly.
- Push the new bulb into the assembly until the bulb is installed.
- Align the tabs on the CHMSL lens with the CHMSL bulb assembly, and push to installed.
- Connect the electrical connector to the CHMSL assembly.
- Connect the rear washer hose to the rear washer nozzle.
- Align the CHMSL assembly with the liftgate.
- Install the CHMSL fasteners.
Rear License Plate Lamp Bulb Replacement
- Remove fasteners that attach the rear license plate lamp assembly.
- Lower rear license plate lamp assembly from bezel.
- Rotate license plate lamp bulb socket assembly counterclockwise and remove it from housing.
- Pull license plate lamp bulb out of the bulb socket.
- Carefully press license plate lamp bulb into bulb socket until seated.
- Install license plate bulb socket assembly in license plate lens.
- Rotate license plate bulb socket assembly clockwise until it is seated.
- Align license plate lamp assembly with license plate lamp bezel.
- Install license plate lamp assembly tot he license plate bezel fasteners.
