Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to update RTV sealant usage on the Rear Drive Module in the "Differential Housing Assembly Assemble" procedure in all Saturn VUE Chassis Service Manuals.
Please obtain all Saturn VUE Chassis Service Manuals at your location and update as indicated in this bulletin.

| • | Cross out the affected steps in the Service Manual and write refer to bulletin number 04-04-20-002. |
| • | Insert a photocopy of this bulletin into each Service Manual. |
The SI website will be updated immediately and future Service Stall System SI CD releases will include this and other Service Manual updates.
Notice: Do not use excessive amounts of sealant. Excess sealant could plug the vent passage, enter the oil pump, and/or the oil pump screen causing component failure.
Important: Ensure sealing surface is clean and oil free.
- Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces with brake clean, or equivalent, and allow the surfaces to dry.
- Use one of the RTV sealants from the chart in this bulletin. Apply a continuous bead of sealant 2.5 mm (0.098 in) in diameter to the sealing surface of the differential housing (1). Do not apply sealant to vent walls (2).
