Information on Servicing Vehicles Using New Ignition Start Switch Housing (Ignition Lock Module) Without Steering Column Lock

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform Saturn retailers of a new ignition start switch housing, P/N 25782256, which does NOT have a steering column lock bolt.

This new component is recommended for use when servicing (replacing) the ignition start switch housing on all 2002-2007 Saturn VUE vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles.

If the new ignition start switch housing, P/N 25782256, is used to service a 2002-2007 Saturn VUE that was originally equipped with a previous part number, please inform the customer of the absence of the steering column lock.

Saturn VUE vehicles built after and including VIN breakpoint 7S822015 have the new ignition start switch housing without the steering column lock bolt. Do NOT attempt to service these vehicles for the absence of the steering column lock .

All 2002-2007 Saturn VUE vehicles with manual transaxles should continue to be serviced with P/N 15896092.

Identify which type of transaxle the vehicle is equipped with prior to ordering parts.
