Transmission Front Mount Replacement for Saturn VUE - AWD 2005

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
  3. Remove the transmission oil level indicator tube. Refer to Transmission Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  4. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1239273 Size: SH
  5. Remove the transmission mount-to-frame bolts.

    6. Object Number: 1239268 Size: SH
  6. Remove the transmission mount bracket-to-transmission bolts.
  7. Remove the transmission mount/bracket assembly from the vehicle.

    8. Object Number: 1260818 Size: SH
  8. Remove the transmission mount bracket top nut.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1260818 Size: SH
  1. Install the front transmission mount bracket top nut.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 90 N·m (64 lb ft).

  2. Install the transmission mount/mount bracket .

    3. Object Number: 1239268 Size: SH
  3. Install the transmission mount bracket-to-transmission bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the transmission mount-to-frame bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement .
  6. Install the transmission oil level indicator tube. Refer to Transmission Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement .
  7. Reconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
  8. Install the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
