Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2007 🢒 VUE - AWD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 3.5L (L66) 🢒 Intake Manifold Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1226502 Size: SH
  1. Remove the outlet resonator/duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hoses from the intake manifold.
  4. Disconnect the brake booster hose from the intake manifold.
  5. Remove the intake manifold top cover nuts and bolts.

    6. Object Number: 1226496 Size: SH
  6. Remove and discard the intake manifold top cover gasket.

    7. Object Number: 1226493 Size: SH
  7. Remove the intake air temperature (IAT) 2 sensor .
  8. Disconnect the PCV hose.
  9. Remove the air outlet duct bracket.
  10. Remove the intake manifold nuts and bolts.

    11. Object Number: 1226500 Size: SH
  11. Remove the intake manifold.
  12. Remove and discard the intake manifold gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1226500 Size: SH
  1. Install the intake manifold with gasket.

    2. Object Number: 1226493 Size: SH
  2. Install the intake manifold nuts and bolts in sequence.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Tighten the intake manifold nuts and bolts.

    4. Tighten

        • Tighten the intake manifold nuts and bolts to first pass to 11 N·m (97 lb in).
        • Tighten the intake manifold nuts and bolts final pass to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).
  4. Install the outlet duct bracket and nuts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the IAT2 sensor.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the IAT2 sensor to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  6. Install the intake manifold top cover gasket.

    7. Object Number: 1226502 Size: SH
  7. Install the intake manifold top cover, nuts, and bolts.
  8. Tighten the nuts, and bolts in sequence.

    9. Tighten

        • Tighten the nuts and bolts to first pass to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
        • Tighten the nuts and bolts final pass to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
  9. Install the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .
  10. Connect the PCV hoses to the intake manifold.
  11. Connect the brake booster hose from the intake manifold.
  12. Install the outlet resonator/duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
