Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
- Remove the underhood accessory wiring junction block cover (1).
- Remove the nut at the end of the fuse block and remove both the positive battery cable and the EPS cable (2).
- Loosen the bolts (1) on the top of the fuse block until the block can be lifted off the connectors.
- Remove the instrument panel (I/P) connectors (2).
Important: All 3 fuse block 68-way connectors are held into place to the fuse block case by push-in retainers.
- Pull up on each of the following 68-way connectors until they come out.

Installation Procedure
- Install each of the following 68-way connectors into its proper location.
• | Forward lamp 68-way connector (2) |
• | Engine 68-way connector (3) |
• | I/P 68-way connector (4) |
- Push down on each connector until it is fully secured into the fuse block.
- Connect the IP connectors (2)
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Tighten the bolts (1) on the top of the fuse block.
Tighten
Tighten the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness retaining bolts (1) to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Reconnect the positive battery cable and EPS (2) at the end of the fuse block with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the positive battery cable nut to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Install the fuse box cover (1).
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
