Removal Procedure
Important: Both roof panel applique must be removed before starting this procedure to ensure proper repair.
To protect the windshield and paint during the removal and reinstall of the upper reveal molding, place a strip
of 50 mm (2 in). masking tape below the upper reveal molding and across the top edge of the roof panel.
- Remove the windshield frame applique. Refer to

- Remove the roof panel applique. Refer to
Roof Front Panel Applique Replacement
.
Important: Do not allow any tool to come into contact with the windshield, tool contact with the windshield may cause cracks or fractures in the windshield.
- Remove the windshield upper reveal molding (1).
- Using a angled pointed nose pliers, grip the center (2) section of the windshield upper reveal molding (1) at either end.
| • | Pull upward with a twist counterclockwise motion to start the removal of the windshield upper reveal molding (1). |
| • | This will start the disengagement of the molding from the windshield. |
| • | Starting at the free end, pull the windshield upper reveal molding away from the windshield, a plastic tool may be needed to aid in the removal. |
| | Important: If the windshield was damaged while the removal of the windshield upper reveal molding the windshield must be replaced. Refer to
Windshield Replacement

| • | Remove the windshield upper reveal molding and inspect the top edge of the windshield for any urethane adhesive or chip glass. |
Installation Procedure
- Clean the old urethane adhesive from the upper edge of the windshield using isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply a small amount 1-2 mm (0.04-0.08 in) of urethane adhesive (1) to the
inside edge of the windshield upper reveal molding (2).
Important: Make sure that the windshield upper reveal molding is center to the windshield and roof panel before installing.
- Install the new windshield upper reveal molding.
| • | Start the windshield upper reveal molding at either end, ensure the center point of the roof and molding before installing. |
| • | Working the windshield upper reveal molding across the windshield. |
| • | Ensure that the windshield upper reveal molding is fully seated against the windshield and the roof panel. |
- Install a urethane adhesive bead to both left and right upper corners of the windshield approximate depth
of 10 mm (0.4 in).
- Clean any excess urethane adhesive from the windshield and roof panel.
- Install the roof panel applique. Refer to

- Install the windshield frame applique. Refer to
