Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1892888 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the hybrid connect. Refer to Hybrid Battery Service Disconnect/Connect.
  2. Remove the 2 generator battery vent fan cover bolts (2).
  3. Remove the 12 generator battery cover bolts (1).

    4. Object Number: 1892893 Size: SH
  4. Remove the generator battery cover (1).

    5. Object Number: 2143774 Size: SH

    Important: Removing the interconnect cables will disable the 36 volts within the generator battery control module.

  5. Remove the generator battery terminal rubber cups.
  6. Remove the generator battery cable nuts.
  7. Remove the 36-Volt battery internal cable (1) from the battery.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2143774 Size: SH
  1. Install the 36-Volt battery internal cable (1) to the battery.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the generator battery cable nuts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 8 N·m(71 lb in)

  3. Install the generator battery terminal rubber cups.

    4. Object Number: 1892893 Size: SH
  4. Install the generator battery cover (1).

    5. Object Number: 1892888 Size: SH
  5. Install the 12 generator battery cover bolts (1).

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m(71 lb in)

  6. Install the 2 generator battery vent fan cover bolts (2).

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m(71 lb in)

  7. Connect the hybrid disconnect. Refer to Hybrid Battery Service Disconnect/Connect.
