The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A number of Saturn VUE Accessory Brush Grille Guards have been sent back to the Warranty Parts Center (WPC) with broken bolts. It is not necessary to replace the complete Brush Grille Guard to obtain the bolts.

Mounting fasteners have been released for the VUE Accessories Brush Grille Guard to resolve issues in which fasteners are stripping or breaking during installation due to over torquing or otherwise. This Brush Guard Hardware Kit (P/N 19166257) contains four (4) M10 x 30 mm bolts and four (4) M10 nyloc nuts.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
