The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
After attempting the fast learn procedure the vehicle will not engage any forward or reverse gear ranges and may or may not set DTC P2763.
If any condition causes the test not to complete the transmission will default to neutral and will remain there.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Disconnect Tech II. Turn ignition off and remove the key. After 3 minutes the vehicle can be restarted and normal transmission operation will resume.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
