The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment on an Intermittent no crank condition. During inspection technicians may be unable to communicate with the high speed GMLAN and any combination of the following DTCs may be found: U0073 U0100 U0101 U0121 U0131 U0136 U0140 U0198. This may be caused by water and/or corrosion in the X408.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the X408 connector for any corrosion and/or water intrusion. If any corrosion or water intrusion is found in the X408 connector, follow the instructions in bulletin 08-05-25-002.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
