1. Door Lock Mlafunction |
The body control module (BCM) controls the door lock, passenger door unlock and driver door unlock relays. Voltage is applied to the appropriate relay through the door lock/unlock control circuit when the BCM senses a door lock/unlock switch activation or a keyless entry lock or unlock command.
The system voltage must be between 9-16 volts.
The BCM detects a fault in the left unlock switch signal circuits.
The BCM detects a fault in the left lock switch signal circuits.
The driver door lock switch will malfunction.
• | The DTC will be current for as long as the fault is present. |
• | When the fault is no longer present, the DTC will be a history DTC. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 50 ignition cycles. |

Ignition ON, observe the scan tool Rear Doors Lock Cmd and Rear Doors Unlock Cmd parameters while using the driver door lock switch. The parameter should change between On and Off when changing between the commanded states.
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 1 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 3 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM. |
⇒ | If less than the specified value, replace the driver door lock switch. |
