Removal Procedure
- Remove the front fascia. Refer to Front Fascia removal procedure in Body Front End.
- Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
- Disconnect the fan motor from the engine harness.
- Unclip the wire harness from the fan assembly.
- Unclip the transmission cooler lines from the fan assembly.
- Remove the battery box inlet air duct.
- Remove the condenser splash shield.
- Remove the radiator inlet hose.
- Remove the radiator outlet hose.
- Remove the upper CRFM bracket assemblies.
- Lift the CRFM assembly from the lower brackets and carefully move the bottom of the assembly rearward while tilting the top forward.
- Remove the fan assembly to radiator bolt.
- Remove the fan assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fan assembly by guiding the lower tabs of the fan assembly into the corresponding radiator hooks.
- Install the fan assembly to radiator bolts.
- Install the lower radiator pins into the cradle brackets.
- Install the upper CRFM bracket assemblies.
- Install the radiator outlet hose.
- Position the clamp at 5 o'clock.
- Install the radiator inlet hose.
- Position the clamp at 6 o'clock.
- Install the condenser splash shield.
- Install the battery box inlet air duct.
- Clip the transmission cooler lines to the fan assembly.
- Clip the engine wire harness to fan assembly.
- Connect the fan motor to engine harness.
- Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Fascia installation procedure in Body Front End.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
