Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 934024 Size: SH

    Important: There are 2 fuel level sender unit and float assemblies in the fuel tank. There is 1 located on each fuel pump module. The fuel level sender unit and float is NOT the same for each of the fuel pump modules.

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  2. Remove the fuel pump module with the defective fuel level sender and float. Refer to Primary Fuel Tank Module Replacement or Secondary Fuel Tank Module Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the fuel level sender unit and float electrical connector.
  4. On the secondary module assembly, use a pick to press down on the silver connector and disconnect the ground wire from the fuel pressure regulator.

  5. Use a small screwdriver to release the double-sided snap lock feature shown in the exploded view.
  6. Remove the fuel level sender card by sliding the card down.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 934036 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel level sender unit and float onto the fuel pump module. Make sure that the sender cap snaps into place.
  2. Connect the fuel level sender unit and float electrical connector.
  3. On the secondary module, connect the ground wire to the fuel pressure regulator.
  4. Install the fuel pump module into the fuel tank. Refer to Primary Fuel Tank Module Replacement or Secondary Fuel Tank Module Replacement .
  5. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
