Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left.
  2. Ignition OFF.
  3. Caution: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned. To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.

  4. Raise the vehicle.
  5. Remove right side front splash shield push pins and remove splash shield.
  6. Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch harness connector.
  7. Unthread the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch and remove.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install O-ring over EOP switch, lubricate with clean engine oil and install EOP switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect EOP switch harness connector. Push connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
  4. Install splash shield and splash shield push pins.
  5. Lower vehicle.
  6. Check oil level and fill it low.
  7. Start engine and check for leaks.
