Removal Procedure
- Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left.
- Ignition OFF.
Caution: Ensure that the vehicle is properly supported and squarely positioned.
To help avoid personal injury when a vehicle is on a hoist, provide additional support
for the vehicle on the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Remove right side front splash shield push pins and remove splash shield.
- Disconnect the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch harness connector.
- Unthread the engine oil pressure (EOP) switch and remove.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install O-ring over EOP switch, lubricate with clean engine oil and install
EOP switch.
Tighten
Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect EOP switch harness connector. Push connector in until the lock
position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
- Install splash shield and splash shield push pins.
- Lower vehicle.
- Check oil level and fill it low.
- Start engine and check for leaks.
