Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the underhood accessory
wiring junction block cover.
- Remove the nut at the end of the fuse block and remove both the positive
battery cable and the EPS cable.
- Loosen the bolts (1) on the top of the
fuse block until the block can be lifted off the connectors.
- Remove the IP connectors (2).
Important: All 3-fuse block 68-way connectors are held into place to the fuse
block case by push-in retainers.
- Pull up on each of the following 68-way connectors until they come out.

Installation Procedure
- Install each of the following 68-way connectors
into its proper location.
• | Forward lamp 68-way connector (2) |
• | Engine 68-way connector (3) |
• | IP 68-way connector (4) |
- Push down on each connector until it is fully secured into the fuse block.
- Connect the IP connectors (2)
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Tighten the bolts (1) on the top of the fuse block.
Tighten
Tighten the underhood accessory wiring junction block harness retaining bolts (1)
to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
- Reconnect the positive battery cable and EPS
at the end of the fuse block with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the positive battery cable nut to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
- Install the fuse box cover.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
in Engine Electrical.
