Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the roof front panel applique. Refer to Roof Front Panel Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  2. Remove the roof rear panel applique. Refer to Roof Rear Panel Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  3. Object Number: 930635  Size: SH
  4. Open the lift gate and support at a 45 degree angle, and remove the rear luggage carrier screws.

  5. Object Number: 930644  Size: SH
  6. Remove the remaining screws from the luggage carrier.
  7. Remove the luggage carrier from the roof.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 930644  Size: SH
  1. Position the front and rear sections of the luggage carrier to the roof.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the luggage carrier top screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  5. Open the lift gate and support at a 45 degree angle, and install the rear mounting screws to the luggage carrier.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2.3 N·m (20 lb in).

  7. Remove the roof rear panel applique. Refer to Roof Rear Panel Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  8. Remove the roof front panel applique. Refer to Roof Front Panel Applique Replacement in Exterior Trim.
