Shudder/Vibration in Reverse (Replace the Front and Rear Transmission Mounts)

Some customers may comment on a vehicle vibration or shudder with the transmission in reverse, especially when the vehicle is under a load condition such as backing up a hill.

This condition may be caused by the transmission mounts transferring powertrain vibrations into the spaceframe.

To correct this condition, replace the first and second design transmission mounts with the new third design mounts (P/N 22716367 - Front, P/N 22716366 - Rear) and perform a powertrain mount balance procedure. Refer to the "Mount Replacement and Powertrain Mount Balance" procedures in the 2002-2003 VUE Chassis Service Manual.

To receive credit for this repair during the warranty coverage period, submit a claim through the Saturn Dealer System for K2282 (Front Transmission Mount) and K2283 (Rear Transmission Mount).
