Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to provide service information about two designs of clutch master cylinders. When replacing the clutch master cylinder or clutch pedal, it is important that the correct parts be replaced to ensure proper operation.
The first design clutch pedal must not be used with the second design clutch master cylinder assembly.
Refer to the illustrations below to determine which design is currently on the vehicle.
| • | If the clutch master cylinder assembly must be replaced on a vehicle built with the first design, the clutch pedal must also be replaced |
| Important: When replacing the first design clutch master cylinder assembly, the second design clutch pedal must be used. |
| • | If only the clutch pedal must be replaced, reuse the existing clutch master cylinder assembly and retaining clip. |
