The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The SIR/Air bag indicator is on with a current DTC B1001 set in the SDM and/or BCM after replacing the SDM.
Recommendation/Instructions:
It will be necessary to program the BCM, after replacing the SDM. This will allow the BCM to learn the SDM part number.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
