Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 927716 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect connector position assurance (CPA) from accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor connector.
  2. Disconnect APP sensor harness connector.

    3. Important: Due to clearance issues, the upper attachment bolt cannot be removed from the accelerator pedal assembly. Loosen bolt completely and leave bolt in component until assembly is removed from vehicle.

    Important: A speed wrench may be used to aid in removal and installation.

  3. Remove APP assembly attachment bolts to brake pedal assembly.

  4. Remove APP assembly from vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 898161 Size: SH
  1. Install upper attachment bolt into APP assembly.
  2. Install APP assembly into vehicle.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install attachment bolts into APP assembly.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the accelerator pedal position assembly-to-brake bracket bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect APP sensor harness connector. Push connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
  5. Install APP sensor connector CPA.
