Makes 🢒 Saturn 🢒 2003 🢒 VUE - FWD 🢒 Transmission/Transaxle 🢒 Automatic Transmission - VT25-E 🢒 Control Valve Body Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the battery tray and bracket . Refer to Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.

    3. Object Number: 1193734 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the transmission electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 780766 Size: SH
  4. Remove the transmission vent cap.
  5. Remove the bolts from the control valve body cover.
  6. Remove the control valve body cover.
  7. Remove the control valve body cover gasket. Discard the gasket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 780766 Size: SH
  1. Install a NEW control valve body cover gasket on the transmission case assembly.
  2. Inspect the control valve body cover for damage.
  3. Install the transmission vent cap.
  4. Install the control valve body cover and bolts on the transmission case assembly.

    5. Object Number: 1193734 Size: SH
  5. Connect the transmission electrical connector.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 781248 Size: SH
  6. Install the valve body cover and bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts in sequence to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  7. Install the battery tray bracket . Refer to Battery Tray Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  8. Install the battery . Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
