Removal Procedure

  1. Turn Ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.

  3. Object Number: 955399  Size: SH
  4. Pull retaining tang from the transmission control module and rotate the transmission control module up. Remove the transmission control module from transmission control module bracket.

  5. Object Number: 934694  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect TCM C1 and C2 connectors.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the transmission control module C1 and C2 connectors.
  2. Install the transmission control module to the transmission control module bracket.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  4. Important: DTC P0602 is set with all new service transmission control modules. When the transmission control module is reprogrammed with the correct software and calibrations, DTC P0602 will be erased.

  5. Reprogram the transmission control module with the correct calibration. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) .
  6. Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.

    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.

  7. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions .
