Important: Follow the balance procedure in the order listed in the following steps. Powertrain mounts must be tightened in sequence.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  2. Object Number: 928767  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the front mount through bolt. Do not remove.

  4. Object Number: 928736  Size: SH
  5. Loosen the rear mount through bolt. Do not remove.
  6. Position two floor jacks with wood blocks under the engine and transmission to support the powertrain assembly.

  7. Object Number: 928777  Size: SH
  8. From the engine compartment, loosen, do not remove the LH mount bolts.

  9. Object Number: 928641  Size: SH
  10. Loosen, do not remove the RH mount bolts.
  11. Reposition the floor jacks to allow a 1/8 inch gap between the mount and mount bracket
  12. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 928777  Size: SH
  13. Tighten the LH mount starting with the center bolt.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).


    Object Number: 928641  Size: SH
  15. Tighten the RH mount starting with the center bolt.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  17. Remove the floor jacks.
  18. Shake the powertrain vigorously from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.

  19. Object Number: 928736  Size: SH
  20. Tighten the rear mount through bolt.
  21. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).


    Object Number: 928767  Size: SH
  22. Tighten the front mount through bolt.
  23. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).

  24. Lower the vehicle.
