Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 931349 Size: SH
  1. Remove the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .
  2. Remove the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the hose to aid in hose routing.

    3. Object Number: 931368 Size: SH
  3. Remove the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the engine.
  4. Remove the surge tank outlet hose from the engine.
  5. Remove the surge tank outlet hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 931368 Size: SH
  1. Install the surge tank outlet hose to the vehicle.
  2. Install the surge tank outlet hose to the engine.
  3. Install the surge tank outlet hose clamp to the engine.

    4. Object Number: 931349 Size: SH
  4. Install the surge tank outlet hose clamp to the hose.
  5. Install the surge tank. Refer to Radiator Surge Tank Replacement .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
  3. Reposition surge tank to gain access to outlet hose.
  4. Disconnect electrical connector on bottom of surge tank, if necessary.
