Circuit/System Description

The body control module (BCM) generates the audible warning. The BCM receives audible warning requests via serial data.

Circuit/System Testing
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the ignition key alarm switch
  2. Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Key In Ignition parameter is No.
    3. ⇒If not No, test the key in ignition signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the ignition switch.
